“How long has this been going on?” Nelle wonders aloud.


How long have they all wandered around the city, wishing that this all never happened? Because it shouldn’t have happened. 


She prays to whatever god is up there that it doesn’t happen again.


And Nelle’s not sure who’s fault it really was in the end. Who pulled the trigger and set into motion the worst night of their lives.


Whoever it is, she can’t say that she hates them for doing it. Because they’re all still friends, somehow.  It’s a twisted sort of friendship, but they all still care.


Somehow.
